Jan Sneep has been a lawyer since 2003 and specializes in (international) criminal law. In recent years, his practice has focused primarily on serious violent offenses, Opium Act cases, and complex matters involving cryptocurrency-related crimes, though he remains broadly active across the criminal law field. He is also involved in negotiating procedural arrangements with the Public Prosecution Service. Jan gained recognition through a large number of high-profile murder cases that attracted widespread media attention. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Criminal Defence Lawyers (NVSA), the Criminal Law Committee of Zeeland-West-Brabant, and the Forum Levenslang. Jan is registered in the Netherlands Bar’s legal domain register with criminal law as his principal field. In line with Bar requirements, he obtains at least ten training credits per year in this registered legal domain.
