Privacy policy

The information below fully fulfils the information obligation under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG) for all individuals whose personal data are processed by Sneep Advocaten in the course of providing legal services.

1. Sneep Advocaten processes personal data to provide legal services, improve their quality and communicate directly with data subjects. For service evaluations, a third party may be involved. Participation is voluntary.

1. Sneep Advocaten processes personal data only for the following purposes: a. Providing legal services (including litigation); b. Debt collection; c. Legal advice, mediation or referral; d. Compliance with legal obligations; e. Marketing and communication; f. Recruitment procedures; g. Execution of employment agreements.

1. Sneep Advocaten shares personal data with third parties only when necessary to deliver our services. This may include powers of attorney, correspondence with counter-parties, or IT service providers. Data may also be shared with authorities like the Legal Aid Board, police or courts. 2. A data processing agreement is concluded with external parties processing data on our behalf, and they are bound by GDPR. Parties acting independently as data controllers (such as accountants, notaries or experts) are themselves responsible for GDPR compliance.

1. Sneep Advocaten implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data in accordance with current standards. When using external service providers (e.g. IT companies), contractual agreements ensure data protection — even if the providers are not considered ‘processors’ under GDPR.

1. Personal data is retained no longer than necessary or legally required. You have the right to access, correct, restrict, transfer or delete your data. You may also withdraw consent. Date of birth; c. Gender; d. Address and any correspondence address; e. Citizen service number (BSN); f. Partner data (in subsidized legal aid cases).

2. Data related to care of minors (for subsidized legal aid): a. Bank details (IBAN); b. Company data; c. Phone numbers and email; d. Technical data such as IP, MAC address, cookies, website usage; e. CCTV footage; f. Special categories such as criminal or medical data — processed only with explicit consent and under legal confidentiality obligations.

3. Employee data: a. First name(s), last name, titles; b. Date of birth; c. Gender; d. Address; e. Contact details; f. BSN; g. Job and employment terms (hours, salary, profile); h. Application and CV; i. Benefit participation (e.g. pension); j. Bank details; k. Passport number; l. ID copy; m. Development plan (POP); n. Education, diplomas; o. Absences and sick leave; p. Leave records; q. Work hours and travel logs; r. Evaluation records; s. CCTV footage.

1. Our office at Stationslaan 1a2 is equipped with CCTV to ensure safety of staff and data. Footage is retained for up to 1 week and only viewed in case of incidents. Footage is not shared unless legally required (e.g. with police).

1. Personal data is processed on the following legal grounds: a. Legal obligation; b. Execution of contracts; c. Consent; d. Legitimate interest (e.g. CCTV).

1. The website sneepadvocaten.nl may include buttons or links to external platforms (e.g. LinkedIn or Facebook). Sneep Advocaten is not responsible for their data handling practices. Use is at your own risk — read their privacy policies first.
